Chapter 1 - The Beginning
I'm starting this (so far) monologue, as I would any design, from the background. The beginning point for good design is to analyze the background the of the space you are doing. At it's most esteem you would need to know where is this room. Is it in a home, a hospital, a cave? Second; How is this room used, and by whom? Third; How does this room fit into the flow and ambiance of the overall structure it is surrounded by? Questions are the most important part of good design. The beginning of knowledge is realizing you don't know. The beginning of good design is realizing what you have to work with and what you need to achieve.

Hi, I am Bill Little from Accent Interiors at the wallpaper Place in Wichita Kansas. I am a graduate interior designer and I have been in this business for over 35 years. I started when I was a tiny child - which is why I look so young. Beautiful rooms are my passion and I have a natural tendency to frugal use of funds. Fashion and quality do have their natural cost however and to get one without the other is seldom wise. I will be using this space to expound my design philosophy and also those things that kind of tick me off, like people who say "I don't like wallpaper". This is like saying I don't like the color of water, if you don't like wallpaper you don't like anything and or you have a totally closed mind. Without an open mind you will forever redo variations of a theme and never progress to a new style and if you are just redoing a "same-o same-o" why bother, life is too short to keep reinventing dirt. Anyway this is the beginning of what I hope to be an an interesting endeavor.
